European on US servers (wow)
 

Heya guys & girls! :)

As normally long time no see, even tho i sneak back here watching how youre doing (porgresswise mostly WoW-wise).

How do my fellow europeans manage to play on US servers, how's the latency (lag).. I mean it can't be much worse than the eu servers.. since uhm some of them are horrible..

There is no secret that im missing the good old Legion days (Anarchy Online), anyhow.. just wondering about the EU vs US play-thingie.

Latency is good most of the time, and as for the horrible lag you get on EU servers, we get that here too.
Guild progress.. We're on the twin emps now, hoping to have them down tomorrow.

I was actually thinking about sneaking a char in on your server if possible.

I think you need to change the realmlist.wtf file from eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com to us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com.

Also, since 1.1 (?) i think you also need to get hold of the US installer, and .exe to run on US.

We still use the beta download for the US server, but was trying to get a friend on with us a few weeks back. I think thats what we had to do in the end for it to work

Latency goes from 200-450 or so.. depending on zones, and how much people are on.

On the EU server ive played a bit on, i get from 50-200.. so some difference are there. But tbh, it doesnt affect the PvE aspect any much at all.

I lag more on EU Ravencrest than US Mannoroth
