Apple
for university i have two notebooks types i can choose from
ibm (x40, t42) or apples (ibooks, powebook g4) very important to me is that my os should be multilingual so that i can run chinese software and english/german software at the same time without unicode or even more severe errors, i know that mac os 10.3 supports multilingual user interfaces but im not sure of windows xp or debian (os given with my university notebooks) i checked the microsoft website and saw a mui project supporting windows xp english version, i could not find the dl link or where to purchase but i would be grateful if someone has experiences with mui running on windows xp or where the function is hidden in windows xp |
i don't have experience with running mui, but at my last job i had a T40 Thinkpad, and if there weren't so expencieve, i would buy one again. They are really good.
Can't say anything about apple tho, and as a developer they wouldn't be a wise choice for me anyway :) cu starside Ice |
Windows XP MUI works like a charm. You indeed have to buy it coz it aint free. We use it at work
|
@ razor, what is a charm and what is the product name of the mui for windows xp?
because if possible i would rather go for an ibm |
I might be able to get it at work for ya. I'll have a look around coz you can only get it through a volume license, not in retail shops. More info about all of this:
