windows expert coder needed
I need to find out how to locate a program in memory. Another program then the program that I make.
Thing is, swg makes a logfile but it writes it only per KB. Waay to slow. So i want to get the info right from the memory, I need to find out though how to locate SWG in the memory and how to find the chat lines I want to relay. THey are there someplace in the windows memory, just how to find them. I didn't have any luck finding any info on google. Anyone got an idea? Note sniffing doesnt work, the packets are encoded somehow. Tried that already :( |
Does SWG auto generate the log file ?
If the sniff is encoded - might be encoded in memory too then :) On the other hand - any way to find out wot type of encoding they used. Might be easier to break that instead of getting stuff out of the memory |
Well, yes it makes a logfile so thats no big deal. (eventhough it makes it in 1 KB blocks so thats slow)
Thing is, im working on guildchat 2 way relay. I got so far as that it sends a message from my application to SWG but then...can't simulate that I pressed the enter key for some reason (maybe has to do with directx keyboard imput codes being different then the normal windows ones??) As for decoding the packages you recieve...would be a hell of a job, even if you know exactly what the package is supposed to contain (and you dont) it's a hell of a job finding out how it was encoded. Decrypting is a whole special field of programming/hacking. If you willing to volunteer for that, I'd be happy though :) |
Have you tried reading and writing stuff thru the window handlers ? Simulating the ENTER key aint that hard if u can simulate normal text. Isnt it 13 in most if not all character sets.
Havent tried using the window handlers on DirectX screens so i have no idea if that works |
it doesn't :) yea simulating the enter key isnt that hard, and works fine in applications such as Word, notepad or even IE. Appears that directx does things different though :/
Could always make a thumper for the enter key but going hardware is even more lame :D it has to be possible somehow, i'm sure of it. |
hiro you really are nerdy ;)
