Linux?

The time has come for me to turn away from Windows and trie something new, aka Linux. :)
The problem is that I know about nothing at all about Linux so I tought Id ask you guys for a lil help..
I wanna know what Linux you could recomed for this computer:

Ive got a p2-350 with a geForce 2 card and 384mb ram. :=)
I plan to use the computer to surf the net, watch movies and do some word and excel work on it.
A graphical user interface is a must!

If you could recomed a Linux and tell me where I could find it I would be very gratefull! :)
Any other good information and hints are ace!

If you are a first time linux user it will need to be easy to install ;)
You don't want to spend like 2-3 days to get an OS up and running and read a huge pile of web pages to do it you know... And after those 3 days you'll still have some maintenance left to do and some small things to get it working your way etc :p

Go for Mandrake or RedHat... I've personally had only Mandrake on my comp, but it worked great
