SWG Developer's Mission Statement

"The Star Wars universe is broad and encompasses warriors and traders as well as politicians and farmers. We are trying very hard to provide a game experience that allows each of you to realize your own vision of what life in the Star Wars universe is like... Star Wars Galaxies is about exotic worlds and epic adventure. It's about the struggle between the light and dark sides of the Force, with the outcome decided by the actions of players. It's about large-scale political battles (which have now escalated into war) to take control of the galaxy."

--OMG I can't freaking wait for this game!!!!

you can't really compare PA with any MMORPG :)

it's like comparing radio to cinema...
"no, i won't go to the cinema, tired of listening to the radio" *g*

indeed - Im so eager for this game to come out - even more so after playing Anarchy Online, I just leave the team play in games like this.

As you may have noticed ;) when i started playing AO I went on a campaign of recruitment to try and get some of you legionnaires playing...we have a nice little team at the moment - but more people is always better - so this is me (again) highly recommending AO to people waiting for SWG.

Let us know if you're going to play....and remember if you buy the cd you get a months free - if you download you can get a 7 day free trial

I have to admit, I took a VERY brief look at AO, and didn't find it in the least bit interesting. OMG, it was soooo laaaagy. So much so that I couldn't stand playing. I just hope that the same problem doesn't rear its ugly head in SWG.

it depends what your doing in AO - I find the lag is incredibly bad when in heavily populated areas - but when doing missions or in areas where you actually fight etc it's fine - it's certainly playable but not perfect.
