SWG movies

I've been downloading whatever i can find out there, but weren't to happy with the quality and so on. Not the biggest fan of the .wma format.

Other then SWG my spare time goes to movie editing, mostly relating counter-strike. And I found an easy way of making avi's, a program called fraps!

I had to try if it worked with the SWG client, and it did... WUHU!
Now you can make swg with .avi format and in whatever quality you'd like!

I have uploaded a little sample (of my proudest moment ingame).

You'll need the xvid .avi codec, if not you can download the k-lite codec pack here

What do ya use to edit the .dem files to make them into movies?

Need to start making more Demo's for CS etc

You don't edit .dem files in cs. Either you use the /startmovie command to extract the .dem into .bmp pic files and then use at program convert the pics into an .avi movie. Or you can make it simple and use fraps :D

I use Sonic Foundrys Vegas Video. Another popular program is Adobe Premier.

Yeah isn't it? And with that sample i compressed it from originally 22mb to the 1,98mb you watched. You can reach the same qualiy as ingame frames.
The only downside with fraps is that you'll need a powerfull computer to run SWG while you record. With a bad computer jo can get som major frameloss and with the result of a laggy movie.
