My Sorc is 98, Knight is parked at 90 as having more fun with the caster. Heres a great guide to getting gear and where to get it:

As a hexer, Sunset Staff is best, but since Im sorc, using Witchtree branch as it has the fastest cast times till I get the staff of wisdom.

Also: When trying to jump into the pit in Majula, take your armor off! Your armor increases the dmg you take when jumping and of course get that cat ring in order to get the Witchtree branch once you have the correct key.

Further edit: If you have a long range spell like soul arrow or lightning spear, you can use the binoculars to snipe mobs from far away (Dark orb doesnt have the range). Ive made a crosshair using a magic marker on my screen (Quamie dont use a permanent marker since I know you like sniffing them) to snipe with spells.

yea ive already got my sunset staff to +4 and made it dark

Level 120ish now, making my way thru the shrine of amana now. :o

I just got greater resonant soul and a nice dmg ring a friend told me about. Lol it does disgusting damage, like around 1k, tho it costs 500 souls to cast :o
