2 totally different games if you ask me - BFV is a very realistic team-based fps and UT is a futuristic fps with a stronger focus on individual skills. With 2004 this has changed a bit, but it still differs from BF.
I've never been much of a UT fan, but 2004 is very nice and a lot of fun, so I might play it some. Still prefers BFV though, its a brilliant game.
If you're not sure, buy both! :)

If you're a product of the hippie generation like some of us are *cough* you'll find the soundtrack on BFV to very.....pleasant.
I totally enjoyed the BFV.

Both games are released this week. Vietnam tomorrow in Europe, already out in the US afaik. UT04 friday.

Im afraid you'll be disappointed (as usual with lucasarts), star wars games usually suck donkey balls. Only ones worth anything besides the box they come in, are knights of the old republic and galaxies.

nah i like some of lucasarts games actually..
jedi knightII and academy is ok...kotor tho is ace:)
not to mention good old rebellion rox(supremacy i think is the us name on it)..
and The Phantom Menace game is cool also

problems is, nobody else likes them - and you dont get a very good multiplayer experience (like UT and BF) if you play alone :p

Vietnam is better..... ut2004 is much0s lamer.... To much light in ut.. Vietnam got fast running Vietnam ppl with swords :)

You can try the UT2004 demo. It also has a multiplayer demo which works pretty well to test it. I like the game alot tbh...
I havent played BFV yet, will try it tomorrow heh

got bf:v today, so far im not too impressed with it, the infantry combat is a lil better then before, seems less like be in a vehicle or get raped like in 1942, i thought it was gunna run crappy but it runs better then 1942 for me
i dunno yet :(
i also miss smashing people in manta :/
