its an old Wiking tradition, and the seasons have changed pretty much since then i guess..

it was a blizzard ( hail ? = hagel ? ) storm here in the beginning of june ?!?!11

Doesnt Norway and finland and Denmark celebrate Mid summer ?

there have been several midsummer night party's in the netherlands aswell mate :)
